Frank Britt
is president of Britt Marketing, which he founded in Lynchburg in 1981. It is a
full-service advertising and marketing firm with clients at the retail, consumer, commercial and industrial levels. Britt Marketing is an affiliate of the Marketing Communications Agency Network (MCAN), a professional organization of
non-competing advertising agencies in the U.S. and Canada.
Frank served as Director of Promotional Marketing for the Chap Stick Company for 12 years, working extensively with national advertising and marketing firms in New York and Chicago. He sat on the client's "side of the table," gaining valuable experience, as well as a unique perspective and special insight into the client's needs. At Chap Stick,
Frank had responsibility for all direct marketing sales promotion efforts for several divisions and directed an in-house ad agency. He was the recipient of numerous regional and national promotion and packaging awards.
A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Advertising,
Frank also attended The Citadel in Charleston and the Sorbonne in Paris. Living in France for two years was the beginning of a lifelong interest in the country and its language. He was a founding member and
remains active in Sister City of
Lynchburg-Plus. Rueil-Malmaison, France was Lynchburg's first sister city.
Frank was elected to the board of Sister Cities International in
2003.
